Executive Profile: Carleton Jones

Carleton Jones is president and vice chairman of INDUS Corporation. Prior to joining the company in 2008, Jones served as president and chief executive officer of Multimax Inc. Previously, he was also president of VanStar Government Systems, Inc. and Sysorex Information Systems.
Jones’s government-contract and government-affairs experience comes from his roles as deputy general counsel within the Executive Office of the President and as a supply officer in the Navy.
Jones, a graduate of Denison University and of Yale Law School, practiced law as a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Shaw, Pittman, Potts & Trowbridge (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman). There, he focused on government contracts and executive and regulatory government affairs.
Jones recently announced his resignation at INDUS. He will leave the company Jan. 31.
